From the moment Anne Torrie and Kenny MacInnis first put pen to paper in the late 90’s, a dynamic force in Canadian Gospel music was born: Gospel Jungle. Their collaboration is rooted in a deep love for God and a shared musical language. Tirelessly writing; what soon emerged was a definite story of God’s love through Jesus Christ. Jesus My Brother – A Rock Opera, slowly grew into a dramatic story of love and acceptance for everyone and defined the rise of the hippie Christian. A three-decade-long adventure polished the storyline, and the rock opera was brought to life.
Now firmly rooted at Erskine Presbyterian Church in Hamilton, Ontario, Kenny is a musical force and is loved by many for creating a weekly open mic that is continuously packed with stellar musicians. He provides and organizes worship for a long running Alpha program, and he is an integral part of the worship team. He provides a consistent heartbeat of music for Erskine Church.
Also rooted at Erskine, Anne is a member of Session and part of the production team working the sound board on a regular basis. She has been leading worship for many years and loves to share her life-long passion for music and pure joy in Christ. She is the creator of ANOW (An Awesome Night of Worship) recruiting brilliant music teams and worship leaders to play Gospel anthems and Original Christian music for crowds of people around the greater Toronto area. All proceeds raised were donated to the needs of the hosting church.
Together, Anne and Kenny bring the message of the Gospel through their moving melodies and thought-provoking lyrics.
